Week Four (14/10/24 - 20/10/24)
During this week i spent a lot of my time working on other projects as i believe i am ahead on Gam 104 but i did work on sprites, changing some of the existing sprites such as the tilemaps and the player character, i did this to better suit the idea i had rather than use the things given to me that were made as a basis for everyone to use if they chose to. I wanted the game to be based in a mysterious laboratory where you were doing tests and puzzles and for that i thought making it looking eerily like a padded cell would be best and i tried to replicate that in my artwork and design, i think it looks good and conveys what i want it to whilst also not taking me a long time to create. Similarly i create the player sprite to look like a test subject in an orange jumpsuit, this further enforces the idea that you are inside of a less than fortunate laboratory.
For the workshop task, we were showed one page design documents and were tasked with creating one on our own, upon completing this task i forgot to save my work for later use and have no way of showing it but this task was incredibly helpful and allowed me to test my ability as i havent created a deisgn document in 2 years since a project in college.
